What We Do
At Wormit Woolies, we create felted fleece rugs and more from raw fleece that is sourced from farms all across the UK. Sheep must be sheared annually for humane reasons and we take these raw fleeces and repurpose them in to animal friendly cozy rugs/throws for your home. While you are enjoying your cozy rug/throw, the sheep the fleece came from, is happily grazing and growing another fleece for another rug to be made! Although these rugs are quite hard-wearing, they are mainly intended for decorative purposes. Some rugs are sturdy enough for light foot fall but are best suited to adorn the back of a chair, sofa or the bed etc. All products are available for purchase through Country Living Marketplace at www.countrylivingshop.co.uk

Meet the Maker
All products are handmade by me, Trish O'Meara, using a technique known as wet felting, in my home in Fife Scotland. My love of felting came from being a small holder with sheep and wanting to find a useful and meaningful way to use the sheared fleece! The process of wet felting has been around for many centuries, and these rugs are often referred to as 'vegetarian' rugs!
Our Products
Our products consist mainly of handmade wet felted fleece rugs/throws but also decorative wall hanging embellished with locally found shells, stones and driftwood.
